Teacher Day

Confucius was born on September 26th (according to tradition). To commemorate the sage’s birthday all Chinese pay respects to their teachers, even ex-pat English teachers. I think the practice should be spread. So here is a heart-felt “Cheers” for all Teachers, Profs., and educators in the world. Stand and be recognized. On a completely unrelated note. I’ve found the best communication technique is a pointing finger and a beaming smile. Put the two together and you can order any meal you could possibly imagine. It’s amazing how some gestures work across cultures no matter the difference. Anywho, back to writing lesson plans … the bane of a teacher’s existence. That and 12 hours of work on a Saturday, good thing they pay me.
